Screen Time for Young Children poster

Your child’s brain does the majority of its development in the first 5 years of life, meaning the first 5 years are a beautiful opportunity to help foster your child’s ability to learn, think and create meaningful attachments. Join MSW Intern Olivia Johnston for a webinar designed for parents, caregivers, educators, professionals and any other adult looking to learn, for a webinar focusing on the effects that excessive screen time can have on a child’s developing brain.

There are many positives to screen time for a child, with one of the biggest being the educational purpose it can serve, but how much screen time is too much screen time? Olivia will dive deeper into the age of 0-12 and give you recommendations on both the amount of screen time that is healthy for a child of each age group, and what we can do to maximize the positive effects that screen time can have for our little ones.

We will also be talking about how to set clear and effective boundaries surrounding screens so that your child can enjoy their screen time while also being able to explore and play in the world around them.

If you want to learn more about the topics above, joint MSW Intern Olivia Johnston on April 26th @ 10am to delve deeper into these important topics. Cost is 20 dollars per person and will be held over Zoom. This webinar is open to any adults wanting to learn more about the ways in which we can maximize the positive effects of screens for our young children, while mitigating the potential risks as much as possible.

Excited to see you there!
