Job Title: Clinical Associate (MSW or RP) – Child & Youth Therapist
Location: 7 Willow St Waterloo, ON and/or 301-690 Belmont Ave West Kitchener, ON
Organization: Bloom: Child & Family Therapy
Position Type: Independent Contractor, 10-24 client hours per week
Compensation: Competitive; commensurate with experience

Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Clinical Associate to join our team! If you are a Registered Social Worker (RSW) or Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with Master’s Level Training, and have specialized experience working with children and youth, particularly those who are neurodiverse, LGBTQ+, or are 0-12 years old– we would love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:

Provide individual therapy to children and youth using play, art, music, and evidence-based therapeutic approaches (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR).

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs, with an emphasis on neurodiversity-affirming and LGBTQ+ supportive practices.

Collaborate confidently with families, schools, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care.

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and ethical standards.

Engage and participate with the Clinical team, receive supervision, and engage in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications & Skills:

Master’s level training in social work, psychotherapy, counselling, or psychology with registration as an RSW or RP in good standing.

Experience working with children and youth in a therapeutic setting, ideally in a private practice or clinical environment.

Strong experience and understanding of neurodiverse-affirming approaches and working with neurodiverse children and youth.

Training or experience in working with LGBTQ+ youth and families, with an understanding of the unique challenges they may face.

Training in play therapy, art therapy, music therapy, and/or other creative therapeutic approaches is an asset.

Proficiency in evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, EMDR or others.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
