Tyler Reidy
RP, MMT, MTA
Tyler is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a Certified Music Therapist (MTA), holding a Master of Music Therapy degree from Wilfrid Laurier University. With experience in schools, hospitals, long-term care, private practice, group homes, and community settings, Tyler brings a compassionate and collaborative approach to therapy that meets each individual where they are.
In addition to his work at Bloom, Tyler is a music therapist at Grand River Hospital, where he supports various units, including the pediatric oncology clinic, NICU, and palliative care. He has experience working with children, families, and individuals navigating anxiety, early childhood development, medical trauma, grief, loss, family relationships and bonding, and parenting challenges.
Tyler’s approach to therapy is rooted in attachment and relational-based practices, blending creative arts, music, and play-based modalities. He has additional training in First Sounds: Rhythm, Breath & Lullaby (RBL) for NICU Music Therapy, Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and Narrative Therapy, and is currently completing the Canadian Association of Play Therapy (CAPT) Foundational Play Therapy Training.
Tyler is passionate about creating a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental space where clients can explore and express themselves freely. Through creative approaches, he helps individuals and families deepen their understanding of attachment dynamics and work through life’s challenges, fostering personal growth and connection.
