Nadire Haxhija

MSW, RSW

Nadire completed her Master of Social Work in the Children and Their Families specialization at the University of Toronto after earning her Honours Bachelor of Social Work and Social Development Studies from the University of Waterloo. She is a Registered Social Worker who is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, young adults, and families as they navigate life's challenges in a safe, compassionate, and supportive environment.

Nadire believes that every individual has unique strengths and resilience. She is committed to creating a therapeutic space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to explore their experiences while building confidence, emotional well-being, and meaningful connections. She recognizes that seeking support can be a vulnerable step and values building genuine, trusting relationships with each client and family.

Nadire takes a strengths-based, trauma-informed, and client-centred approach to therapy. She draws from evidence-informed modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness-based strategies, and play-based interventions. She tailors therapy to each client's individual needs and enjoys working collaboratively with children, youth, young adults, and caregivers to help navigate concerns such as anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, self-esteem, family conflict, life transitions, and the impacts of trauma.

Nadire is fluent in both English and Albanian and is passionate about providing culturally responsive care while creating a welcoming space where clients feel respected, valued, and supported throughout their therapeutic journey.

Outside of the therapy room, Nadire enjoys spending time with her family and cousins, travelling, relaxing at the beach, reading, colouring, and finding creative outlets whenever she can. She believes that creativity, connection, and curiosity are important parts of both personal well-being and the healing process.
