Megan Lewis

Megan is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Megan also holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree in Sociology from Queens University. 

Megan has experience supporting children and youth in a variety of settings and has completed training in attachment-based and client-centred play therapy. She often uses play and art-based approaches to help children express themselves, process emotions, and develop healthy coping skills in ways that feel natural and engaging.

Megan views the family unit as an essential part of a child’s wellbeing. She works closely with parents and caregivers to strengthen attachment, improve communication, and build strategies that support the child both in therapy and at home. By fostering connection and collaboration, Megan helps families create environments where children feel safe, understood, and supported.

When working with older children, teens, and adults, Megan primarily draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). She also integrates a variety of other modalities including Relational Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Internal Family Systems, tailoring her approach to each client’s unique needs. 

Megan is passionate about creating a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients and families can explore challenges, strengthen relationships, and build resiliency. Megan’s approach emphasizes empowerment—helping clients recognize their strengths, discover new ways of coping, and feel more confident in their ability to handle future challenges. She values collaboration and strives to ensure that each client and family feels heard, respected, and actively involved in their therapeutic journey.
