Lauren Milanovich

Lauren is a registered Social Worker with her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Windsor and a Bachelor of Applied Science and social service workers diploma from the University of Guelph-Humber.
Lauren has experience working with children and youth of all ages, and has experience with supporting caregivers through a trauma-informed, attachment-based framework. She uses play and art-based approaches to help her clients feel comfortable and secure in the therapeutic environment. Her therapeutic approaches expand from her creative approaches to cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, and solution-focused therapy.
Lauren is passionate about working with children and families in the areas of trauma, emotional regulation, school-based concerns, anxiety, family dynamics, and transitions. She is also a Circle of Security facilitator and is knowledgeable in attachment theory.
Lauren believes it is important for children to have secure and healthy relationships with supportive adults in their lives. She strives to support caregivers with understanding the importance of meeting and responding to children’s physical and emotional needs.
